Ontario salt eats cars — and rust never fixes itself, it just spreads under the paint. We don’t sand it down and cover it up. Corroded metal gets cut out, new metal welded in, and everything gets treated and sealed properly.
That’s the difference between a repair that lasts and one that bubbles back up by spring. Caught it early? Even better — it’s cheaper. Bring it by and we’ll tell you straight what it needs.
How we do it — step by step
- Find the real damage — we probe around the rust to see how far it’s actually spread.
- Cut it out — rotted metal gets removed completely; surface rust goes down to clean bare metal.
- Rebuild — new metal welded in and shaped, or sealed properly for surface rust.
- Protect — epoxy primer, seam sealer and cavity wax so moisture can’t get back in.
- Refinish — matched paint and clear coat. Invisible now, and it stays that way.
Common questions
Can rust be repaired permanently?
Yes — if it's cut out and rebuilt properly. Sanding and filling over rust just hides it for a season; we remove the corroded metal and protect the repair so it lasts.
How do I know if the rust is serious?
Bubbling paint is surface rust starting through; holes or soft metal mean it's structural. Bring it by and we'll probe it — early rust is much cheaper to fix.
Is rust repair worth it on an older car?
Usually, yes — a proper rust repair protects the car's value and stops the spread. We'll tell you straight if a car isn't worth the repair.
